Sunday Streets: What's Cookin' on Folsom?
Sunday Streets SoMa is back this Sunday, August 30, from 11AM-4PM between 6th and 8th streets featuring your favorite Folsom Street eateries. Keep reading to get the sneak peek on what some of these restaurants will be dishing out.
Inspired by La Ciclovía in Bogotá, Colombia, Sunday Streets turns roads into open, car-free community spaces allowing kids, families, and seniors more room to get outside and connect.
Don’t forget to save the date for September 6 when UNDSCVRD Sundays will be utilizing the shared space program to offer your favorite Undiscovered food and retail vendors while practicing aggressive COVID-19 safety measures.
Basil Thai has been a neighborhood staple since 1995 after being founded by a group of Thai artists and visionaries. In similar spirit to UNDSCVRD, we are excited to highlight their delicious Southeast Asian cuisine including the Kao Soi Northern Thai-style curry noodle with braised chicken, Gai gra prow — classic basil chicken with chili and a ried sunny side-up egg, and Panang Braised Short Ribs served taco style with heaps of herbs on roti Indian bread.
Deanna Sison of Mestiza Taqueria is partnering with women-owned wine bar Decant SF to serve food at their outdoor parklet and for takeout. Look forward to two types of taco plates from the Mexipino fusion catering crew. The menu includes mouth-watering pork adobo wth green papaya achara on corn tortillas and refreshing vegan Baja-style avocado tacos. Decant will also have beer and wine available by the glass with flavors that’ll take you straight to Mexico and the Philippines.
Popular SoMa nightclub Cat Club will trade its dance floors for daytime dim sum on Sunday along with special cocktails to-go!
Sportsbar Trademark is still knocking food out of the park through its partnership with SF Chicken Box. Come through for the freshly fried Golden State Chicken Sandwich served with a trinity of sauces: ranch, Hot AF, and sweet & spicy Moombah. Their Kick Ass All Beef Burger and Chipotle Black Bean Burger will also be up for grabs.
Save the date for the launch of UNDSCVRD Sundays on 9/6 through 10/11!
